A Grand Explosion

December 31st, 2264

The group finally reunite at the intersection where John had everyone meet up. From there the guard led them down a staircase and straight to Isabella’s “Throne Room”. Immediately upon entering Isabella (having seen them) rose and ordered that they be captured and thrown in jail cells. The guards in the throne room apprehended the group and led them back towards the jail cells. Upon arriving at the top of the staircase, however, they were come upon by a horde of angry invisible workers. Between Phil and Kilroy the mob was tricked into assaulting Isabella in her “throne room”. This kept her and her guards busy long enough for the group to go down to the reactor room.

In the reactor room they were asked for their clearance level and why they were supposed to be there. Phil gave the guy asking them these questions the code John had generated earlier for escorting the group to Isabella. While the guy had the code looked up, Andy sneaked away to find something to sabotage the reactor with, and everyone else drew their guns and threatened the employee. While he still had his communicator, though, he activated the security measures. Soon the sentry droids came out into the room and had the group surrounded, as well as one sentry for Andy. While the others were having no luck with their sentries, Andy quickly dispatched of hers and proceeded to sabotage the reactor. Once sabotaged a warning blared out from the speakers announcing the imminent destruction. The droids, now caring about their lives, quickly departed from the scene leaving the group free to do as they please once again. They made their way to the hanger and to their delight found Isabella’s personal ship still in the hanger. They boarded and convinced the bridge crew that she was on board as well and that they were to leave.

As they were taking off many group members saw Isabella enter the hanger. Phil quickly persuaded bridge crew members that Isabella wanted the hanger destroyed. They did so ensuring that she could not escape the reactor explosion (or killing her right then if she was still in the hanger). After leaving the moon the course was set for Transit and off they went.

While traveling Baptiste convinced the crew that since Isabella was killed they might as well wait and see if the people they work for would hire them. Most of the crew agreed. Furthermore, Tatiana managed to find evidence of Isabella having been hired and accomplishing the bombing of the SD6 building on Transit all those years ago. She had apparently been hired by an organization known as POD.

November 24th, 2267

Upon arriving on Transit Phil immediately attempted to contact their SD6 handler Max. Failing this they decided to go eat at their most favorite joint “in town” the IHOW they had been attacked at. While there, a group of government men entered and asked the party to go with them back to headquarters. The group did and once inside in a conference room they were informed that they were being arrested for being terrorists.

The group pleaded that they were not terrorists and in fact worked for the government themselves. They were then asked if they worked for SD6. When they answered yes, they were told that SD6 was actually a terrorist organization. After a lot of talking they decided their best bet would be to act as “double spies” for the Transit government and go spy on SD6. While talking with the Transit government people Asuka’s sister comes into the room revealing that she has worked for the government the whole time!

When Chaos Ensues

December 31st, 2264

Now free to do as they want, Kilroy, Asuka, and Tatiana begin passing out the special drinks to everyone in the mess hall. After receiving a few questions about the food, Tatiana returns to the kitchen and begins preparing a lunch for everyone. Shortly after drinking the special drinks some of the people in the mess hall begin turning invisible. When people become alarmed Kilroy calms them by informing everyone that anyone who has turned invisible is part of a test group and anyone that successfully turns invisible will be receiving a raise in salary. A fist fight begins while everyone struggles to get drinks and down them so as to receive a raise. Kilroy attempts to contact security, but upon failing to give an actual security clearance is locked into the kitchen with Tatiana, John, Asuka, and Baptiste. In an attempt to punch the door away Kilroy accidentally brings Pierre from the future into the door. He dies instantly and Kilroy takes his key card. After a short search by John a slot is located in the door for the key card to go into. This opens the door for the group to get out.

While all this is happening, down in a lower level Phil and Solomon are still stuck in the jail. They hear talking from the other side of the wall and listen closely. In the next room over a guard is bringing lunch to someone who is locked up. She thanks the guard for the food, and before the guard can leave Phil and Solomon try to attract the guard’s attention. They succeed but only to have the guard yell at them. After the guard leaves they ask the female in the next room if she knows how to get out or if she can get them out and other silly questions. Finally they surmised a plan to escape.

After getting the security door open John quickly cloaks himself and leaves the group behind to search for Phil and Solomon. Making it out to the hallway and then an intersection he presses against the wall as four guards run past him towards the mess hall. He goes down the path they came from and enters a door on the far wall. Inside seems to be a gallery of sorts. Arranged around the room are various pictures and videos. One such video shows the battle between the group and the Man Mantis. After looking around a bit and seeing no one around John puts the curator to sleep and hacks into his computer. Looking through the camera systems John eventually locates Phil’s and Solomon’s location. He then gets some blueprints of the mansion and overrides some safety systems to contact Phil.

When the female in the next room contacts her guard friend she lets him know that she heard some sounds coming from the room next door and that she thinks one of the guys there killed the other. While Phil tries to trick the guard into coming in (to hit him) or to keep him out (so he doesn’t get shot) he gets a call from John. John, having imitated Isabella’s voice, has Phil put him on speaker phone so he can talk with the guard directly.

Meanwhile, Kilroy going out into the mess hall with a new batch of poisoned drinks is set upon by some guards. They start escorting him back into the kitchen when Asuka and Tatiana burst out. Seeing the gun in Tatiana’s hand one of the guards opens fire on her. From this a firefight ensues.

John manages to convince the guard that he (Isabella as far as the guard knows) would like to see the robot (Phil) and that the guard is to bring the robot and its mechanic (Solomon) to some designated meeting place where he will meet up with a new elite guard (John himself) who is to escort him and the robot to Isabella herself. After hanging up with the guard John sends the blueprints of the mansion to the rest of the group and tells them to meet up at the designated meeting place.

Before leaving the jail area Phil tells the guard to let the female in the next room out. Since Isabella (John) had given the guard orders to do as the robot says he was happy to let her out. She decides to accompany Phil and Solomon for a while.

Having just finished their fight with the guards the group gets the message from John and decide to head towards the meeting place.

December 31st, 2264

After a few minutes of palaver, the group decides to enter the mansion via the roof entrance.

Inside this room they immediately notice the walls are covered with what looks to be rat fur, with a tinge of green. Phil promptly realizes that what is on the walls is a plant creature of some sort. He then begins conversing with it. Meanwhile, Solomon is quick to begin studying the strange creature. Suddenly the creature “reaches out” at Phil and Solomon (each at different locations) and attempts to ensnare them. Phil deftly dodges out of the way, while Solomon, engrossed in his findings, is saved by John. After this massive betrayal of trust, since Phil had been “making friends” with the creature, John dashes forward busting down the opposite door. Unfortunately, he was not fast enough to evade being consumed by the plant wall creature (thing). Tatiana immediately set the plant on fire, while Kilroy fired at it with his laser, and Asuka began shooting at the ground.

After the group weakened the plant a little, John managed to push his way through and into the new room he had been heading for. The room was a bathroom. Furthermore, to his dismay (and massive confusion), John seemed to have lost his helmet. After some investigation he realized that his helmet was still on his head, just seeming to not be. After taking a moment to fire upon the plant creature that had just engulfed him, John examines the bathroom further. Suddenly, there was a flush and in a moment’s panic, John had his pistol pointed at the stall demanding that whoever was in it to come out. It was a scared woman who claimed to be an employee of Isabella’s, but not an important one so no important information was known to her. John bid her lead him to Isabella which she began doing, but when she disappeared into the plant creature John began to freak out. Firing on the wall he realized something was strange with it, further inspection revealed to him that it too seemed to be a creature with similar qualities of that in the previous room. Deciding to risk getting stuck, John charges through the plant (mostly fire now) creature blocking the doorway, and emerged back in the previous room.

While this was happening, Tatiana and Kilroy further damage the wall plant creature with more fire, Phil managed to leak some [can’t remember what it was] onto the plant (in hopes of it being deathly allergic to it), Asuka still firing at the floor, and Solomon standing around doing nothing. Asuka manages to create a whole in the floor and drops through, everyone else is quick to follow, except for Tatiana who is waiting around for John to show up.

The room below the plant wall creature thing room is a pantry. Always looking for a drink, Kilroy swiftly grabs up some alcohol from the shelves. The group proceed into a hallway from the pantry noticing two doors down the hall. The door on the left opens into a kitchen where the group spends a few moments messing around. After making a few drinks they return to the hallway then go through the last door at the end.

They emerge into a mess hall. One man gets up and goes to ask them what they are doing. Phil begins telling the man a story about how he is the new soup robot and that Solomon (real name not used) is his deaf and mute mechanic. Finding out that they got lost looking for Isabella the man offers to lead Phil to her and suggests that Solomon go stay in his room since there is no need for him to go along. Before letting Solomon have a chance to do anything (aka fuck it up) he jumps in informing the man that they had not been told where they were to stay. He says he’ll lead Solomon to where he’ll be staying and then lead Phil to Isabella. The two follow the man to Solomon’s room. When they arrive they enter the room and ask for a moment to discuss something private. The man leaves the room, but when Phil attempts to open the door finds it to be locked. The hologram showing the room to be a nice one turns off revealing it for what it actually is, a jail.

During the adventure on the floor below John bursts through the remaining flaming bits of plant creature and he and Tatiana jump down into the pantry. John decides to pour some water on part of his armor, and finds out that some spores are on his armor hiding it. They go into the kitchen where he can more properly clean his armor. While they are doing this Kilroy and Asuka, having been ignored by the man “assisting” Phil and Solomon, join John and Tatiana in the kitchen. They decide to put these spores/seeds into the drinks they’ve made and prepare to go back out into the mess hall and offer them up to everyone.

When they go back out into the mess hall they are surprised to see that it has almost completely filled up since they were in the kitchen. In addition to all these new people, two more looking like chefs, approach the party. They gesture for them to step aside and the big one (who looks to be in charge) begins asking them questions. John whispers some lies into his ear and inflicts the man with foolishness so as to easily confuse him. This works and the big man begins falling for some of the group’s lies. To aid him, however, the smaller man, later whose name was revealed to be Pierre, begins picking up on the strange comments from the party. John attempts to confuse Pierre as well, but fails and almost gets caught by the smaller man. Having failed to catch John, however, Pierre looks strange and with the help of John’s lies the big man believes that Pierre needs to go see the doctor. Since the big man was also behaving strangely Pierre agrees to go see the doctor if the big man will come along with him. The two leave and the big man leaves the group in charge of feeding everyone.

Events According to John Smith

In case someone else is reading this, I will refer to myself in the third person. This the truth of recent events.
John Smith, Stumpy, Tatiana, and Asuka are still trapped by the insidious Isabella Hinano on her spaceship. They are being pursued by the rest of the group. Luckily, Kilroy had the foresight to place a tracking device on John Smith (while John Smith was brilliant enough to decide not to notice), while Mo was able to figure out the destination the ship was headed for.

At the insistence of others, John Smith, who would have just as much assumed to stay in bed, used his vast abilities and mental powers to weaken the door enough for Stumpy to slip out. Stumpy failed to open the door, but Chiung (who seemed to be inspired by the brilliant John Smith) used the bed to bust down the door. This revealed a room with a desk and a chair, and another door. At that moment, the guards came in. They contacted the insidious Isabella (it seemed at that moment as if the guards had a look of amazement. It seemed as if their simple minds understood how futile it would be to lock that second door, and they seemed to know, on a subconscious level, that no mere door could hold back John Smith).

The next door was electrified, but the brave John Smith heroically volunteered to take the shock for the team. In doing so, he was able to knock down the door. In the next hallway, they saw several doors. They were soon beset by an uncountable horde of hardened mercenaries hellbent on their destruction. In the nick of time, John Smith used his mental acuity and persuasive prowess to convinces the guards to attack each other. The group used this advantage to over power the guards.

Soon after, the ship seemed to land and they stopped. They heard the insidious voice of Isabella over the intercom telling them to get off the ship. John Smith demanded the return of their personal property. The insidious Isabella used this opportunity to drop a box that had a note saying “Your Stuff.” John Smith immediately recognized this was a trap, and decided he should check it out by himself while everyone else stayed on the ship. Hence, HE GAVE EXPLICIT INSTRUCTIONS FOR EVERYONE TO STAY ON THE DAMN SHIP. BUT NO, THEY NEVER LISTEN TO HIM EVEN THOUGH HE IS RIGHT ALL THE FREAKING TIME. WHO IS HE CASANDRA? INSTEAD THEY ALL JUMP OFF THE DAMN SHIP. John Smith REALIZED THAT IF THEY WERE GOING TO ESCAPE THIS DAMNABLE PLACE THEN THE ONUS WOULD BE ON HIM. The box had a tent, and a gun for each of them, which was loaded with one bullet. That night, Stumpy laid on the ground and stared at the sky. While John Smith decided that he needed to scout away. He did this stealthily because he did not want to worry those with him, or have them follow him and put themselves in danger. He scouted ahead for 8 hours and decided to take a short nap.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group was on their way to Yarray 5. Luckily, they fly into a large purplish spaceish thing (wormhole). While it seemed like it might be the end of them, Bo manged to successfully fly through the purplish wormhole, and luckily they wound up at Yarray 5. When they tried to land they had no choice but to land on the space pad indicated by Isabella because of the cloud cover.

Soon after, everyone was reunited, except for John Smith who had bravely scouted ahead and braved the danger alone (there was a lot of bravery). The reunited group went after John Smith because they missed him so much, but luckily he still had the tracking device, which John Smith had been clever enough to not notice it had been placed on him. A streak of fire across the sky suggested John Smith should stay put, which he did.

Meanwhile, the mouth of the landing pad opened up and tried to consume the ship, but fortunately Bo and Mo managed to fly the ship out. Unfortunately, the ship sustained minor damage.

Eventually the group caught up with John. They were overjoyed and exhausted.

December 30th, 2264

After meeting up with John Smith everyone returns to the ship. Meanwhile, Bo works on the ship. When the group returns everyone goes to sleep while John works on the ship some more.

December 31st, 2264

Before they could finish fixing the wing Isabella informs them that she will be destroying their ship in a couple of hours if they don’t enter the labyrinth soon. Deciding to act before Isabella can do anything the group pile into the ship and take off towards her mansion. Not liking this, she begins firing missiles at them. Kilroy attempts to send the ship into the future, but somehow fails and disappears himself. Cleverly avoiding the missiles, the group arrives in the vicinity of the mansion. Seeing that they probably can’t land on the landing platform, or the mansion itself, they opt to land on the labyrinth canopy and drop in, near the exit. Just as they are get off the ship missiles finally hit it and blow it up.

The group travels towards the mansion for about an hour before coming to a turn in the path. Just as the group is walking up to the turn, a giant Man Mantis appears from the “corner”. When Saxon goes to leave the Man Mantis charges him, and consequently gets shot by a few of the others, and keeps him from leaving. A short battle ensues ending with Mo and Asuka getting smashed by the Human torso but the rest having hot and fiery shards of Mantis exoskeleton smashing into them. After a half hour of recovery the group continues onward towards the mansion.

After about another hour of traveling the group hears someone in the sky and look up to see Kilroy dropping from the sky, get caught by a tree, and dropped into the labyrinth just before the group. They ‘rush’ to him and after a short moment of reunion they continue to the mansion.

A few hours later they arrive at the mansion just in time to see a ship land on the landing pad. John gets a better angle to see two people emerge from the craft, one right behind the other. He shoots the one in back and then calls out to the other one. After some brief confusion it is decided that this other man isn’t a threat to the group. He introduces himself as Solomon Gorske as the group decides how they will tackle getting to Isabella.

John breaks the door open a bit. Stumpy gets through, starts hitting buttons on the control panel, then falls. Chiung breaks through the door. Guards enter the new room from the second door, see the door broken, and after contacting Isabella leave closing the second door. Eventually the group breaks through and explore some rooms. They are assaulted but succeed in holding them off. The ship lands and Isabella takes off as soon as everyone gets off the ship. While stranded, night falls. The group camps for the night. During John’s watch he decides to take off on his own. The rest of the guys wake up the next morning to find John gone and then suddenly everyone notices their ship landing.

December 30th, 2264

In the midst of flight Bo witnesses a strange formation of purple in the space. He makes his way towards it and while in it his navigation systems mess up. They fly in the purpleness for what seems to be about an hour and then suddenly find themselves no longer in the purpleness and at Yarray 5. Isabella reveals the landing pad where she dropped off the others of the group and due to the planetary cloud cover Bo is left no choice but to land there.

Reunited the group decide that they are going to go and find John. Fortunately Kilroy had the foresight to place a tracking unit on John. When they have almost left the clearing the landing pad opens and the ship falls in, before the landing pad closes again Bo manages to get the ship flying and escapes from the trap, but not unharmed. In the process of escaping a part of one of the ship’s wings is destroyed. After hours of travel the group catches up with John.

December 20th, 2263

John brings everyone the group has as suspects, as well as Asuka and Tatiana, back into a big stadium-like room. He informs the remaining contestants that the bombs that have been created will be distributed by the judges to each of the remaining contestants, no contestant shall receive a bomb they created, and they will be required to disarm them as part of the contest. At that moment many of the group members notice Isabella using a cell phone. John tells her to stop and shortly thereafter the group begins getting shot at with warning shots. After a few crazy moments, Isabella calls out to the group. She tells them that if any of them try to move they will die. Bullets then begin “raining” down knocking different members of the group out. Kilroy is quick to send himself, Phil, and Saxon into the future. The rest of the group, except Baptiste who was in the crowd, eventually succumbs.

The part of the group that had passed out in the stadium awaken to find themselves in a spaceship. Each person is tied, by the ankle, to the bed they are resting in. Quickly, the group free themselves from the binds. A look around reveals the room to be almost barren aside from the beds, a desk, and a chair. After a while a mysterious voice begins talking to them, seemingly from all around. They attempt to gather information from this person, but they are not very helpful before ignoring them.

December 27th, 2263

Mo and Baptiste go to pick up Kilroy, Phil, and Saxon, while Bo stays behind prepping the ship for travel. Once they begin talking, Kilroy reveals that he had placed a tracking device on John prior to the whole “situation” occurring. Using it, the T6 (Traken 6) party determine that the rest of the group, at least John anyway, is off planet. The T6 party return to the ship. Mo finds out that the ship they are on is headed towards Yarray 5. They then prepare the ship for travel to Yarray 5.

December 13th – 17th, 2263

Kilroy looks up information about the bomb that was used to destroy the SD6 pub building on Transit. Bo looks up information about which mercs were off-planet during the time the explosion of the SD6 pub occurred. John has Franklin send personal invites to the 100 best mercs on planet for the tourny.

Kilroy managed to determine how the bomb should have been built and where it was located in the pub prior to explosion. Bo found a list of mercenaries that fit with when the pub was destroyed. His list of names is: Alexio Lasgood, Takei Agonawa, Vince Jiroff, Xi-Gao Mong, Viktor Snoff, Jose Alejandro, Isabella Hinano, Jane Seldid.

John made sure that these eight also got personal invites to the tourny.

December 19th, 2263

Tourny Day! Profit of $1,060K. First is The Nathan Run. “Dead Joe” accidentally died. Isabella Hinano won. Next up is the Subtlety Contest. Viktor Snoff won. Shooting Contests of Various Sorts. Asuka won those contests. Computers Contest is next. Alexio Lasgood was the winner.

For dinner they invite the 8 primary suspects to the Three Beers Bar. After walking off with Alexio for a while, Saxon and John return to the table and John throws Alexio’s hand on the table, thus letting each of the 7 remaining suspects that cheating would be dealt with severely.

December 20th, 2263

Tourny Day Two! Scenario Contest. A guy with a squeaky voice won, despite Phil’s best efforts to make everyone lose. Next up, Macgyver Contest. Isabella Hinano won. Lying Contest. During the contest John gets a call from Sam to tell him that it CAN’T be Alexio that blew up the pub and that it must have been a different mercenary from Traken 6. Asuka won the Lying Contest, due to John telling Phil to just let her win. Finally the Bomb Building contest. The group SUPER INTERROGATE the contestants during the contest. Thanks to all the questions and examinations, of the bombs the suspects created, they managed to determine Xi-Gao Mong and Jane Seldid did not blow up the pub.
