Cured At Last!

June 29th, 2268

Bones finally manages to complete the cure for everyone!

After a couple days of traveling everyone is cured up and ready to leave the planet. Fortunately this was just in time for Max Silver’s next assignment to the group. Since they were unable to successfully deliver the briefcase to Agent Geo 9 they are to instead deliver it to Jung Wei on Fusion.

July 1st, 2270

The group arrives on Fusion and goes to meet with Jung at the spaceport’s IHOW. John tried to get Jung to let them see what was in the briefcase but he absolutely would not. Thus, John refused to give the briefcase to him. After debating for a while Jung called SD6 and Max then called John and ordered him to give up the briefcase. He did so, but not before planting a tracking device on the briefcase and Jung himself. He then followed Jung through security all the way to his house on the base.

Meanwhile, Bones and Baptiste went shopping for medical supplies to restock med-bay with. This took them some time, but they managed to get a good supply of everything they needed.

Once Jung arrived home, and after Mr. Fluffers his cat was fed, he “opened” the briefcase. It is at this time that it is revealed that the “briefcase” was actually just metal all the way through and it only signifies that Jung should get the real briefcase that he has stowed away somewhere out and open it up instead. Inside was a CD and the briefcase turned out to be a device for playing the CD. The inside of the briefcase was a screen showing some agents face. The agent told Jung that he was being burned by SD6 and that the briefcase would then explode.

In all of his quickness John managed to save Mr. Fluffers from the explosion, although it fried some of his armor. He then began making his way back to the ship, all the while lying to anyone that approached him saying that he was Jung’s cat groomer. This managed to get him to the first security checkpoint where he tricked the guards into thinking there was incoming gunfire. He then killed all four of them and proceeded towards the ship. He eventually ran into another group of guards, and by tricking them as well, got them all the leave and one of them to escort him to his ship. Just before John and the others could finish entering the ship and take off, however, the guard escorting John received word that he was wanted for questioning about the explosion that took place at Jung’s house. The group then hurried onto the ship and took off.

But they weren’t safe just yet, as the base on Fusion sent out six ships to intercept them. They took out five of the ships while taking a hit directly into med-bay before escaping.

Recovering Agent Geo 9

June 7th, 2268

When the ship is finally repaired the group head out back to Völundr to use their new scanning equipment to find Agent Geo 9. Upon arriving at the planet, however, they receive a distress signal. They proceed to its whereabouts to discover a ship hovering in the upper atmosphere. After suiting up they make their way into the ship.

Once inside they discover that the ship is about to run out of fuel. Everyone but John and Billy evacuate while John has Kilroy hook up cables from the I.H. Senhora de Destruição to tow the ship out of orbit. Unsure if this is enough John gives the ship a major burst of acceleration right as Kilroy begins to tow it. At first this doesn’t look like it will be good enough but when the fuel does run out the ship continues to rise.

After a half hour of having the crew closely examine the inside of the ship they found Agent Geo 9’s dead body as well as a Fogomatic 3000 and the agent’s notes on creating the cure to their disease! A quick call to Max and they are on their way back to Smithy’s Anvil.

Back on planet Bones aids the SD6 scientists in finishing the cure that Agent Geo 9 could not. Meanwhile, John and Emma work on creating documents showing that John has ownership of the ship. Also during this time Phil and Billy go to the Grand Hammer undercity to look for drug dealers. They come across one man that leads them to another, Tom Arks. While they wait around to meet Tom they go looking for someone to open the briefcase. He attempts to but has as much success as the group did.

June 12th, 2268

Phil and Billy go back to meet Tom Arks. They have a quick chat with him and convince him to introduce them to his friend Bob Marli who is known for creating Srugpins, the drug they’re interested in.

June 13th, 2268

They meet with Tom and Bob the next day. Bob tells them that his ma originally created the drug with her partner, Bob’s dead pa. She died from her own drug and Bob’s arch-nemesis, Ziggy Whitebricks, stole the formula from his ma and began making some Srugpins of his own.

Captain’s Log of John Smith

Stardate: Either the day after yesterday or the day before tomorrow.

On our way to the gas giant Volundr in our search for Geo 9 (beginning to piss me off). When we got to the gas giant we sent out a hail for about 30 minutes. Around this time two things came to my attention. Number 1: We seem to lack the sufficient amount of scanner and probes necessary to properly search the orbit of this planet. In other words, we do not have a single damn scanner or probe. Number 2: However, the second thing I learned was much more disturbing. Since we went through detoxed Kilroy has been staying sober. The good news is that Kilroy not drinking alcohol seems to single-handedly lower ship expenses by 10%. The bad news is that Kilroy is much less interesting. So anyways, we determined that it order to have functional scanners with supplies on the ship we would have to give up life support, but everyone was against risking “eventual and certain suffocation.” It occurred to me that death from carbon dioxide poisoning would occur long before we were out of oxygen. Moreover, we would probably freeze even before that. But I kept this to myself because I didn’t think it would help my argument.

Then we daringly (I am trying it out) called up Max Silver and asked if he could arrange us some scanners for the ship. He said he could if we came back to Smithy’s Anvil. So, we did, but we would have to wait a few hours for the parts to be ready.

When we arrived we were joyously reunited with Stumpy who is little older, and he had all his limbs. So, we invited him to the bar with us. When we arrived at the bar something happened that can only possibly be explained by the fact that while God loves me, he also enjoys screwing with me a great deal. So, I sat in the bar and saw my “dear” brother Billy. Look, it is not that I do not love Billy, its just that we are very different people. He is a miner who makes me seem meek.

I mean I was very excited to see him. And he totally did not refer to me by a nickname that everyone would be advised to forget and not use ever. Just when we all started to get our drink on, we got a call saying the ship was under attack.

We ran to help. When we got there Baptiste and Dr. Solomon (a.k.a. BONES) set up a triage area outside the ship. Rei and Asuka arrived at the ship first. Followed closely by Billy and Emma (but apparently the violent version). They all decided to go to the Bridge. You know the area at the top of the ship that would be easiest to repair, and has very little possibility of exploding. I on the other hand boldly went toward the engine room. So, they were doing something upstairs and I got to the floor with engineering, when the giant fracking explosion occurred. Then I recall white hot rage, and we finally stopped the intruders.

With the help of Solomon we found 3 survivors from the attackers. So, Solomon, Asuka, Billy and I interrogated them (btw Solomon totally wussed out on us and tried to snith on us). The first two told us that they were just looking for an easy score. The first two we woke up said some hurtful things and Billy killed them. Actually he cut off the first guys arms, and beat them to death with them (it stuff like this that made me leave without saying bye to Billy, but it is also stuff like this that make me love him). We woke up the last guy who was very reasonable and seemed to have the proper perspective of the world.

So, Stumpy, Mo, and Bo started fixing the ship (their drunks now). And not fun drunks like Kilroy (boring sober) but depressing drunks. Emma and Billy found us over 100 people to replace our casualties. And worst of all, that explosion totally destroyed my super sweet bed and my fog machine (I didn’t even get a chance to use this one).

In Pursuit of Scanners

May 31st, 2268

The group arrives at Völundr ready to locate Agent Geo 9. Unfortunately the planet is a gas giant and thus there is a lot of space to explore for the missing agent. They send out a message hailing Agent Geo 9, but after 20 minutes of not getting a response they decide to scan for his ship.

This is when John is enlightened to the fact that the ship doesn’t have any scanners on it. He calls Max and asks if the ship can be equipped with some scanning devices. Max says that it can be done, but he’ll have to get back to John with how long it will take for it to happen. They return to Smithy’s Anvil to have the ship upgraded. While landing, however, they learn that the parts won’t be ready for a few more hours. Upon landing the group come across an old friend, Stumpy! He joins them to their trek to a bar where another coincidence occurs.

After entering the bar John exclaims quite loudly some profanity to which a man comes over and greets him as “jabber-jaw” and gives him a big man hug. It turns out that this man is one of John’s older brothers. They talk for a long while, but are interrupted when John receives a call from one of their ship employees. It turns out that the ship is under attack!

Everyone rushes to the ship to save it. Upon arriving Asuka and her sister Rei are the first to enter. They proceed straight to the bridge. Shortly after them Billy and Madeleine go straight to the bridge as well. John heads to engineering while Baptiste helps injured crew members to Bones. The group that headed to the bridge make short work of the intruders there, but before John can reach engineering the whole room blows up destroying the back part of the ship and unbalancing the wings. They eventually manage to secure the ship and even find three survivors from the invading crew. A short interrogation reveals they were just pirates looking to snag a nice looking ship. John and Billy kill two of the prisoners and hire the third to join the crew.

After a couple days of searching Emma, John, and Billy manage to find new crew members to replace the ones that were lost in the attempt to steal the ship. Meanwhile Mo, Bo, and Stumpy work on repairing the ship, as well as installing the new parts.

Locating Agent Geo 9

May 30th, 2268

Having awakened in a hospital room belonging to SD6 the group find out that they are in quarantine. Not much hope is given to them as they wait around in the room. Eventually Max Silver comes to them telling them about a mission SD6 is thinking of sending them on.

They are to find Agent Geo 9 and deliver Solomon’s suitcase to him. John Smith demands to know what is in the suitcase and is outraged to hear that he, as well as Max Silver, does not have the required rank to get to know what is in it. Max then leaves for the day promising to let them leave quarantine the next day if they aren’t contagious.

May 31st, 2268

Max Silver returns and lets the group leave on their new mission to locate Agent Geo 9, deliver the suitcase, and find out why he hasn’t been responding to any messages. They are told to go visit him on Tvastar where he was conducting research.

Upon arriving on planet the group immediately head to the local IHOW to start asking around for Agent Geo 9 (using the picture they were given). Their waitress was helpful in directing them to the Licensing and Zoning Board Hall of Records. Inside is an elderly woman who was also helpful in finding out where Agent Geo 9 was located. She lets them know that Agent Geo 9 (his real name being Ralph Emerson) rented Crater Station 14 about a month back and has it rented for another three weeks. The group thank her and proceed to find a way over to the research station. They go to the hanger and have a few problems with the guy there in trying to get 6 speeders instead of 3. Eventually they just get 3 and manage to get everyone to the station.

At Crater Station 14, John decides to enter the building first. He boldly/cautiously enters through the front. Once inside he finds no signs of struggle so boldly/cautiously begins searching the small station. Further investigation reveals rotten food and more signs that the place has been empty for a while. He contacts the others to come in. They make their way to the laboratory/garage and find some of his papers lying around. Examination of the papers reveal that he was close to discovering something important. Further reading indicates that he left Tvastar for AABS 34. With that the group is on their way.

Arriving at AABS 34 they find a small research station located on the asteroid and two ships “docked” at the station as well. Donning spacesuits John, Asuka, Solomon, Emma, and Bilbo go to the station. Emma almost flies off but is saved by John. The rest, except Solomon, hit the asteroid. They quickly go inside and after pressurization take off their suits. Inside they find two researches, neither of which are Agent Geo 9, who are wondering what they are doing there. After talking a short while with the researches they discover that Ralph (Agent Geo 9) had left a couple weeks ago. He didn’t tell the other two researchers where he went. The group searches Agent Geo 9’s untouched room to discover more papers and a map with multiple planets circled on it. Through the papers they discover that he must have gone to Völundr to further his own research. The group packs up and then heads to the gas giant.

An Illness of Sorts

May 28th, 2268

After renting a planetary buggy (courtesy of John Smith) the group get on their way to Prospect. They find out that there is a large canyon in the middle of the direct route so they must first travel north to make a pit-stop in Alcohol.

Upon arriving at Alcohol, Phil is greatly intrigued by the Forge’s Fire ruins to the north of the little tourist town. After Phil convinces the rest of the group that a vacation is just what they need, they agree to go visit the ruins the next day.

May 29th, 2268

They travel north until they reach the outskirts of the ruins (where all the gift shops and tours start). The group decide to hire a tour-guide to show them the ruins. Many questions reveal some strange legends about the area which the guys are quick to laugh at. Eventually, however, they convince the tour-guide to go deeper into the ruins with them, farther than he’s ever gone before!

Steadily traversing deeper into the ruins Phil becomes trapped inside one of the buildings. While inside he starts hallucinating and hearing strange noises, eerily mimicking what the tour-guide had previously described in the legends he knew of. They manage to rescue Phil, but all the while one by one they each begin to have their problems relating to the strange legends. A strange box is found and inside are numerous objects. The box contained a journal (written in French), a key, a button, and a weapon.

Soon a fight broke out in the group and John ended up running away. After spending a bit of time by himself he begins to return to the group, but is attacked by hallucinations. He eventually loses consciousness, but not before alerting the rest of the group to his whereabouts. Meanwhile, others that remained with the buggy begin to see similar hallucinations as well. One by one each of the party members begins to fall unconscious. Before falling unconscious himself Solomon get a hold of emergency services and requests aid. The group did manage to get John’s body and return to the buggy where the rest were, before everyone fell unconscious.

Sometime Later

The group awaken to find that they have been seen to and are in a large hospital room. It is quickly discovered that the hospital room belongs to SD6 and that, for the time being, they are not allowed to leave the room.

Captain's Log

Captain’s Log

Captain’s Log: stardate…..today (But I guess it is sometime in May).
Why “Captain’s Log,” which by the way is exactly as awesome as it sounds (Captain John Smith)? Well to that I reply “why are you in such a freaking hurry. Read my log and you will figure out. I am a Captain and deserve some respect. Unless you’re an Admiral then I am totally sorry for that outburst.”

So, back at Isabella’s place I decided to lay back for a little while and see what everyone else would do. They set off a nuclear reactor and blew off a chunk of a planet. Then we got back to transit, they decided it was a good idea to let us get ourselves captured, and then we found out that SD6 are actually terrorists. (I am pretty sure I knew all along. Yes, that is something that someone as smart of me would know. Officially, that is what we tell people). Now, we are double agents against SD6 and picked up Asuka’s sister.

At this point, I decided to take charge. I boldly cleared my voice and called dibs on being captain of our new spaceship. And everyone know that dibs is totally a thing, and that everyone has to honor it because “I CALLED DIBS.” I boldly decided to make Kilroy to be first mate (and hey he also called dibs on that). This was a definite bonus because even if we are totally FUBAR Kilroy will at least be there with a good strong drink. I boldly selected Solomon to be the new doctor, and Kilroy and I decided to boldly call him “Bones.” Bones tried to tell us to call him Solomon, but we just smiled and said “That’s Bones for you, he is so hilarious.”

Anyways, we landed on Grand Hammer safely, which was mostly due to some bold captaining whether people needed it or not. There was a woman at the spaceport there who claimed her name was Emma Ross. Apparently, Bart Johnson had sent her to meet us. There was something off about her, but she had a limousine and limousines are cool. So, she took us to the hotel. I found her infuriating, boring, and perplexing at the same time. She received a phone call, which upset her greatly. I used my Captain’s intuition and called Bart Johnson, who told me she was just fired. After arriving at our hotel, I decided to offer her a job with SD6 (I failed to mention I might not have this power, but hey nobody’s perfect). She accepted, which told me that Captain John Smith still had a way with the ladies.

I used my considerable skills of persuasion to boldly convince SD6 to hire Andy, Rei, Solomon, and Emma. Also, they hired my crew. (Need to look into whether having this many women is awesome or bad luck, or perhaps awesome luck) They sent someone over with contracts. Emma is possibly a crazy. And I mean certifiably crazy and in need of rubber wall, and not in an all women are crazy sense. She tried to sign her name as Madeline Richter. Rei said she might have a split personality, and that we should not say anything about it. I called BS, rolled my eyes, and said OK. Anyways, I hope it is true because this Madeline seems much more entertaining than Emma.

In the meantime, I gave Emma (I think it was Emma) a tour of the ship. While there Andy apparently stole my prized fog machine (she is no longer allowed to walk around without a chaperone). I boldly demanded that she help me get it back because fog machines are bold, and as Captain I do things boldly. By Boldly, I mean I tied her up and Rei interrogated her. (Note to self: do not piss those sisters off) I promised that I would forget if it never happened again.
Next, we go to prospect to meet up with SD6. We have some people who know were double agents, while others have no idea. Things are about to get more interesting, and this will require a lot more boldness (note to self: have someone find me a Thesaurus and look up boldly for next log).

Events According to Baptiste

We finally arrived at Grand Hammer and found a beautiful woman waiting for us at the spaceport. The man, Bart Johnson, had asked her to make accommodations for us while we were to stay in the city. Introductions were made and then she led us to a limousine which would take us to our hotel. Once there, John Smith was asking her many questions when her phone rang. She came back into the room obviously trying to hide that she had been crying. She would not tell us what had upset her so much, but after calling Bart Johnson John Smith found out that she had just lost her job due to some mishap on planet. John Smith, in all of his generosity, offered to get her a job with SD6. She accepted, which is great because we now have five beautiful women in the group! After having a vid-meeting with Max Silver all the new people got jobs with SD6 and the crew of the Senhora de Destruição. We were told to wait a few days for someone to arrive with papers for the new people. I, of course, spent my free time going to the local bars. A couple days later the man arrive, right on time. After filling out the paperwork Max Silver was contacted once more. He asked us to now go to Prospect and wait for another man to take us to the SD6 base there. I don’t know why he didn’t just have us go to Prospect in the first place and then have the new members fill out all the required paperwork there. I suppose it isn’t important.

Shenanigans in the Metro

May 25th, 2268

Upon landing at Grand Hammer the group was greeted by a young woman at the spaceport. Bart Johnson had apparently sent her to pick them up and get them hotel rooms to stay in. The woman introduces herself as Emma Ross and escorts them to the rooms that she acquired for them. Once there she received a phone call from her boss in Transit. He was furious with her for screwing up her mission with the government there on Smithy’s Anvil. Apparently they were now refusing to trade with Transit due to some slight she gave one of the diplomats there. He fired her during the phone call.

Sensing that something was wrong John Smith gave Bart a call asking about Emma. Bart informs John that she was fired just moments ago. This prompted John to offer Emma a job with SD6. Seeing as how she had no job she was quick to accept the offer. John then gave Max Silver a call and introduced him to Andy, Emma Ross, Rei Naksumi, and Solomon Gorske. He was very quick to ask Max if these four may be hired on as part of their group. As well as the whole crew from Isabella’s ship. At first Max was hesitant, but when John informed him of Chiung Wo Nigyuen, Mo, Bo, and Stumpy, and Saxon no longer being a part of the group he was happy to agree to stop paying them and pay these new four instead. He also agreed to hire the crew of Isabella’s ship for the group quickly becoming his favorite. Furthermore, since John had called Dibs on being the captain of the ship, Max even agreed to look into getting him a promotion to solidify his position as such. Max told them to wait a couple of days for someone to arrive in the city with papers for them to sign.

After this the majority of the group returned to the ship for various reasons. John gave Emma a tour of the ship. Andy went and stole everything out of John’s quarters. Solomon left to try and settle his debt. Eventually John found out about Andy having stole his stuff and hunted her down. He found her back at the hotel room where he had Rei interrogate her into finding out where his stuff was. Together the three of them went and found his things and repurchased them. John agreed that if it never happened again he would forget about the current situation.

May 26th, 2268

Solomon managed to find people to pay off his debts and is now debt free!!!!

May 27th, 2268

The man from Adus Sakon arrived with the paperwork for the new members to fill out. John looked over the papers and after making sure he understood everything he had the new members sign on. By this time, however, Emma had begun acting very strangely. She kept referring to herself as Madeleine and would not sign her name correctly on the paper. This greatly upset John, who is quick to become frustrated. After a few minutes of bickering and shenanigans, Solomon managed to deduce that Emma must have a split personality which is Madeleine. This is revealed to the group and John eventually manages to bring Emma back. Now under control Emma signs the papers that John tells her to and the papers are then given back to the Adus Sakon employee.

Max gives John a call and tells him that the group should go ahead and travel to Prospect where the Adus Sakon headquarters are located. Once there he is to call Max back and arrangements for their retrieval will be made.

Security, Is It Actually Secure?

November 25th, 2267

The group prepare to leave for Smithy’s Anvil to go to the SD6 base located there. As they are passing through security at the spaceport one of the guards asks that John be taken aside to be searched. In the room off to the side he is assaulted and knocked unconscious. After a few moments the group realized that something wasn’t quite right about John being taken off. They go to investigate, except for Kilroy and Solomon Gorske who were already at the bar. When they go inside the room they find that it is empty, save for a chair, a piece of John’s armor that had broken off, and a message scrawled on the far wall reading, “These guards are HACKS!” They find a door located within the shadows of a corner of the room. Proceeding through the door and down the hallway, Baptiste yells some threats and insults and gets the “guards” to come running. As they turn the corner the group kills two of them and captures the third for interrogation.

During interrogation the third guy reveals that he, along with the other two, was hired by Nick The Shadow to find and capture John then bring him to Fusion. Having failed that John offered to let the guy go free if he promised to leave him alone. The man, Wador Relfim, was quick to agree. When John offered to get him a job with SD6 he decided that sounded like a great idea and joined along with the group.
